I am real glad for what is happening here. I am so happy to be here in the mission. I am trying to get the most of the experience. And more important, I want to help as much people as I possible can. I am also happy to hear that Dad is doing a lot better and that he is healing. It has been a real challenge but I love it. I never knew that it would be so great. Or rather I realized that the mission can be hard or easy. It depends on us and our attitude. I have seen missionaries who was absolutly loving the mission and was easy because they wanted to be here. I also have seen those who think that the mission is a "military service". That it is something that needs to be done and than one can enjoy life agian, when they´re back in their homes. I am so glad that I am here. Nothing is better than being here in this moment. Trusting in the Lord and helping those who need a fulness of joy. How great it is to be here. To help others in that which I was blessed to part of since I came to this Earth. To enjoy the company of a loving father and mother and brothers and sisters. How could I be selfish and not want to give what I have, to others?
This past week we were in Asunción for more than 6 hours, because my companion didn´t have his papers to be in Paraguay. We running across the capital, going from place to place so that we could help my companion. Kind of funny, right? That a Paraguayan would have trouble with visa in his own country. Well, Here´s your sign. But all is peachy right now.
Well I need to go. But I expect a letter from Spencer, Hank, Kari and Jolene to know how things are going. ¿está bien? Is that alright?
Time to go and do the Lords work. "Do the work your best and the Lord will do the rest?

I have been thinking. I would like to hear the conversion of Uncle Noel and Aunt Judy. Also the story of the conversion of Dad. I really would like to know.
Two days ago, I was thinking of the consacration and I was thinking, Am I a consacrated missionary? I was thinking... What do I miss from home? Where are my thoughts during the day? Are my desires in the work or in something else? And as I was reflecting on the these things, I realized that I don´t miss watching TV, Movies, Video games, etc.as I did before. Neither do I have desires to do these things. When I was at home, I was thinking that it would be impossible to not participate in such things. But I now see that it is so much better to not be focused in a screen.
Also, all the other things that were in my life before the mission, I am not pre-occupied. I feel like I am not part of the world. I want others to be the same. To not be part of the world with its filthiness, pride and evil works.
We had a lesson with a Young man named Raul Nuñez. He has known the missionaries for 2 years and hasn´t been baptized. We will help him with what he needs to do and he will be baptized the 15th of September. The lesson was very strong and I know that he felt the spirit. I know that it is hard for him but I realized something. "...I know it hard but please endure. Because with time, the pain will go away but the strength will stay with you."
"he aquí, soy dicípulo de Cristo"
Love all of you!!!

This past week went by fast, really fast. I can `t believe that it´s Monday again.
Thanks for the update on Dad. (:
Wow, Mycal is back! but he changed his jersey number, it´s no longer 23... (Michael Jordan). That is amazing that is now is home. the time really does fly.
Well, time for an account of what happen yesterday...
We found a man in his front yard playing with his kid. We talked with him awhile and he said for us to join him in the soccer field right next to his house. We agreed to do so, clearly. We entered the field and there were about 60 people watching or playing soccer. We then talked of the Restoration. And while we were explaining the priesthood, a drunk man approached us. He started saying that he was ignorant and didn´t know much. And then he started saying, "Is your church over in Zavalas cüe almost 11th of September?(direction of the chapel) To be in your church do I have to pay tithing? Why do you have so much money? We have 1 church and you guys have thousands. Are they made of gold and marble? I know they are made of Gold and Marble!" And so on and so forth. He started yelling in our faces while this man with his kid and 60 others were watching. We trying to just leave but he kept saying, "esperá-na" which means ´wait a little bit´.Every attempt we made he got in front of us and kept yelling. The we were cotacting tied to calm him down but it didn´t work. finally my companion said, "let´s go and talk in your house" and that´s when he left". I guess that the idea that we would visit him scared him off. I have to say that it was pretty cool that to be in a hostel enviroment and be as calm a "sheep in a slaughter house". We don´t not react bad with this man. And I am grateful for that. We just need to go and Baptize the people that saw this act of foolishness.
He talked to the contact again and said that that was normal. And the last thing my companion said to him was that our testimonies we what kept us from harm. (It was like we were Alma and Amulek when the were in prision). I see good thing with this incident. It was awesome.
Well, Time to go save the world. Love you all!

Well well well, I now have a new companion who is from Paraguay. He´s been living in Argentina for 8 year but was born here. He is awesome. He really knows how to work. His name is Elder Rodriguez and he is my 13th companion in the mission, including the MTC (I had 4).
Today, we were passing for the chapel and saw a bunch of kids in the church grounds. We walked inside and talked with them and invited them to play soccer and learn English. We will help them be who God wants them to be. It was a funny experience because that thought we were going to tell them to leave. But we were kind and didn´t say anything that would make them not want to talk to us.
Well, I am loving my time here. I know that we will do alot of good here. We both are here willing to work hard and give our all. I love the mission even more. I know that I have a lot to do here still.
I am amazed at what is happening here. The consecretion is differant than I though before. I understand even more of my purpose as a missionary. I learned of how much I really do love the restored gospel. I now have even more of a desire to do all I can here. I have time to do it and I will accomplish what I was sent to do.
Me alegro. estoy haciendo la obra del Señor. ¡que grandioso es la misión! amo a Dios y Su hijo Jesucristo. y agradezco a todos los yo conozco personalmente.
les quiero demasiado!!!!!!

Wow, Another change here in Monte Lindo. I have learned a lot this past change and I know that this nxet change will be great.
I don´t know what happened but this past week was the most challenging in the mission. I had a local companion for 6 weeks. And it wasn´t easy but it was the most rewarding I have had.
As for stories. The other day we contacted a house. We talked to the couple and I noticed that his hand was not normal. He actually had a hand like a Ninja Turtle o Nightcrawler (off of X-Men). I don´t know if he was born that way or if he was born with acid (like they melted together of something). But we´ll find out when this Thursday.
-A young man in our ward was bite by a bug or something on the bridge of his nose. Yesterday we saw him with his face puffed up. But he´ll be fine
-We talked with a family that one of the daughters (of the age 35) had a hole in her throat and was blinded by varies strokes. And she can talk but it is a challenge and I think it will scare my new companion. (especially, because I might be training. Can you imagine a newbe to see a person like this woman?I think it would scare him a lot. Only because he would not be used to seeing stuff like that.)
Times Up, but I hope you all know that your in my prayers. Love you all!
Oh and Dad ¡Sánate! (be healed) (:

Well, I am really happy that Dad is doing better. And I know that all will be for our good.
Dad... I am focused in the mission. I love it here. I am glad that you said not to be pre-occupied myself with what is happening over there. I actually never felt so much peace here in the mission. Minus the time in the Temple, Conferences (General & Zone) and the MTC. I love you Dad, stay strong for me.
Last week we gave a tour of the church to a crazy man named Bartólome. It was quite an experience because I felt the spirit very powerfully but the man... I don´t think he felt it. He did say somthing very interesting. When I explained the sacrament, he said that we need to imagine that Christ is blessing the bread and water and passing it to his disciples. Wow, I was surprised that I didn´t rhink of that before. That the priesthood holders are in the place of Christ and the congregation are in place of the 12 Apostoles. I knew tthat already but I didn´t give to much thought before hand.
We found a man named Beto, that lived in Boston, Mass. for 10 years (for work). He wanted to know about Joseph Smith. When we taught him, he was saying that all of it made sense. We gave him a Book of Mormon to read and said that he wanted to read it for a long time. I am talking about years, he was wanting to read the book. We´ll see what is going to happen.
We found a couple from Argentina, they were visiting family. We taught a little of the Restoration and gave the Book of Mormon to them. And funny enough, my companion was living in the same city (that they live in) when he was living with his aunt. Within 15 of each other. He said he would leave with the missionaries to visit them.

I don´t think will be checking his email, but I know that you check your email a lot. This week I am senting the family letter to you. could you tell me who I should email now.
It´s been a very interesting week. Not only with what happened with Dad but also my companion and I are being mentioned alot in the mission. President Agazzani said that the assistants and Zone leaders and others have been talking about my companion and I. Good things, of course. But the funny thing is that we probably have the most weaknesses in the mission. But that´s alright, I know what I need to do to be better. I may not keep silent when I need to or I might say something incorrect but at least I´m not ignorant nor very prideful. We are so close to success here. It is in our grasp but something was holding us back. We now know. We were not recognizing the opportunities to teach and help the people in our path. And so that you know we talked with the people in our path but not completely.
Sunday I taught the gospel principles class (the President of the Mission was there). And as soon as I was done teaching the recent converts and Investigadors, I recieved a blessing of peace and comfort, by President Agazzani. I was so that I would be able to focus on the mission. And as soon I recieved the blessing, it was if my soul was full and my mind was no more blind. It just goes to show that there is power in the Priesthood. And now I am more focused then ever and I long to help the people here even more.
But so that you know, I am good. Actually I am really good right now. I know that the ward I am in right now is going to change for the better. We are going to see miracles.
Well, the other day we found a drunk man by the name of Bartholomew. He invited us to his work/home, in a auto-shop. He told us that he wanted to hear the words of God. He then had me randomly open the Book of Mormon that was in hand and the one that was in the hand of my companion. The scriptures that we share we perfect. My companion and I were awestruck. It was evidence that the Book of Mormon is true. I was very please with what happen. The man then said, "those are the words of God!". He then wanted a copy. I don´t know what is going to happen but I hope that it changes this man. If nothing else it strengthened the testimony of my companion and I.
I would like to see the pictures of the accident. And also other pictures. I´ll sent more another day.
I love you all. You in my prayers and I know that I am in yours. Well, until next week, Bye bye (:
